Kayte Bergman, MBA - Founder, Executive Director
In 2020, Kayte attended detox herself. At the time, she was trying to figure out a business she could open. As clarity set in, she looked around the detox and thought, "I could do this." After many setbacks in finding suitable property and making preparations, Kayte had lost the wind in her sails.
By 2023, Kayte reignited her passion for establishing a detox facility with a renewed purpose: to assist others in their journey to sobriety- not just the pursuit of entrepreneurship. A pivotal moment occurred during a lunch with women from AA, where one woman shared her plans for a comprehensive recovery clinic, sparking Kayte’s determination to pursue her own venture. Inspired by her personal triumph over alcoholism and driven by the memory of her brother lost to addiction, Kayte’s mission became deeply personal.
With a background in finance and economics from Utah State University, complemented by an MBA, Kayte is equipped to make a meaningful impact in her field. Her motivation goes beyond mere business enterprise; it's about offering genuine support and dignity to those just like her.

Linka Archer- Director of Nursing
Linka’s career in the medical field started in 2001, at the age of 18 where she obtained her Certified Nursing assistant license. She began working at an innovative facility with brain injured adults who sought to find independence in the community. The company was called Hilltop Life Adjustment Program. She continued to work here throughout college while she was working on her general education credits at Colorado Mesa University (A brand of CU) towards her BSN. When she was ready to apply, she was denied her first entry, despite having a 3.8 GPA. She didn’t let this stop her. She had a meeting with the CEO at Hilltop and asked her for advice (Sally was a nurse) on what she could do to get in the next time she applied. Her CEO, unbeknownst to Linka, was on the board of committees for Colorado Mesa University Nursing department and after hearing her story, she decided to create a full ride scholarship in Linka’s name. Part of the scholarship detailed that the CEO would provide the nursing department with two full ride scholarships, however, Sally wanted to be able to choose the recipient of one of the scholarships.

While in nursing school, Linka excelled in all areas, especially within the psychiatric nursing realms. She graduated top of her class and was pinned as a nurse by Sally and then took her nursing oath. She continued working at Hilltop throughout nursing school and even after she was a Registered Nurse. She applied for her first psychiatric nursing job and landed it, but still stayed on with Hilltop, completing 10 years with them. Once she was in the psychiatric hospital, it was then that she decided that she would devote her entire career to psychiatric nursing and set forth to change the world and people’s opinions about Mental Health. She stayed with Mind Springs Health for 14 years, working all the way from floor nurse to Nurse Manager and charge nurse.
During her time at Mind Springs Health, she was nicknamed “The Psych Whisperer” because she was able to get anyone to take their medications and had the ability to calm any of her patients down as well as the ability to be relatable to anyone. While she was there, she became very well known in the nursing community and everyone knew her by name. This trickled down to the local universities and she began being asked to be a guest lecturer every semester in nursing school for their mental health classes. She did this for 12 years. After leaving Mind springs Health, she set forth to see how psych presented in other realms of nursing such as Medical Surgical, Labor and Delivery, Oncology, Long Term care and then went into the prison system. After seeing so many disparities within the psych community, she knew for certain that Psychiatric Nursing was her calling by God.. Linka has now been a psychiatric nurse for almost 18 years. She has obtained many certifications to include a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse in Colorado and degrees and will soon graduate with her DNP from medical school with the emphasis in Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner from Chaminade University of Honolulu. She is currently also working on getting her addiction certification and will soon be a CARN (Certified Addiction
Registered Nurse) and is committed to getting all the staff at White Dove Detox certified as well. She is on countless committees, boards and volunteers at the local Catholic Outreach Food Pantry Program.
Recovery begins from the darkest moment.
